On Thursday 23rd May 2013, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates Country's First Lakulish Yoga University in Ahmedabad. University is located on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar highway, about 10 km from Ahmedabad and is housed in a lotus-shaped building. The University will be handled by Life Mission Trust of Gujarat, headed by I. K. Jadeja a former BJP minister. The university will offer a three-year degree course for those aged between 15 and 35 for 15,000 rupees. There will also be short term courses for senior citizens.
With the fast pace life, its extremely important for all of us to do Yoga every day which will make our Mind and Body Healthy. The aspirant feels rejuvenated and energized. Thus, Yoga bestows upon every aspirant the powers to control body and mind.
Hope the university will give opportunity to youth to become a professional Yoga Teacher / Trainer and in return will make society healthy and fit.
